If you find the only way you can enjoy the rollercoaster ride is with a much bigger bet, then hop on board for the rollercoaster ride of your life on the monster coaster. The high roller will love the view from the monster crazy ride because he/she is not thinking on the drop as they rush hastily to the top of the game.
A win goal and a loss limit works well in blackjack, but very few gamblers adhere to it. In black jack, if you "get on the rollercoaster" as it’s going up, that’s an awesome feeling, but when the cards "go south" and the coaster starts to twist and turn, you had better escape in a hurry.
